It is important that we know the full range of our human possibilities. Otherwise, we might come to think that the way we
live is the only way to live.
In the past "frontier" has been understood to mean an ambiguous territorial boundary
between Indigenous populations around the world
and ever-expanding colonial settlements.
While
some still argue imperial expansion, I suggest that we are at yet another frontier...one that is systematically positioned between our children and their futures.
